The Asphalt Price Index is used for adjustments to compensation
for paving asphalt in accordance with the provisions
of the special provisions section, "Compensation Adjustments
for Price Index Fluctuations."
The
Quarterly California Highway Construction Cost Index
This document is a publication
of cost indexes based on quarterly data of Bids opened
in that quarter (but not necessarily awarded). Standard
items tracked in this index include Roadway Excavation,
Aggregate Base, AC, PCC (pavement), PCC (structural),
reinforcing steel, and Structural Steel.
The Contract Item

This is a tabulation of standard contract items (List
of Basic Engineering Estimating System (BEES) Items)
and reflects the weighted averages of the low bidder's
prices for those items.
